Meet the PMG Experts
Kristie Sell-Viveiros, Director, EDI and Business Systems
CPC, American Academy of Professional Coders
I have been in the world of medical billing for the past 20 years, starting out by performing administrative tasks in a multi-doctor private practice. This experience gave me a thorough understanding of the importance of having a healthy revenue cycle. My experiences there helped me learn how to have informed conversations, assist in workflow development, training, and process improvements. I’ve been with PMG for 15 years and have worked my way up to where I am today.
I truly enjoy what I do and love the thrill of the chase: tenaciously troubleshooting and solving complex problems makes my perfectionist soul happy. When I’m not busy getting my Type A on at work, I’m busy being a wife to my wonderful husband, shuttling the two youngest of our five children to various sporting events and practices, spoiling an English Bulldog, playing softball, knitting, doing yoga and Zumba. Basically, I’m into a little bit of everything, but at the end of the day, it’s my family that holds my heart.

Early on in my career, I worked at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Massachusetts and UnitedHealthcare in hospital claims, customer service, provider relations and contracting. Later, my work at Lighthouse Medical Management introduced me to the inner working of a startup and how providers respond to payer challenges. These days, at the helm of PMG, I focus my efforts on helping clients manage their revenue cycles correctly so they can care for those who are marginalized or in need.
I am very fortunate to have an exceptional family. My wife Tabitha and I have been together more than twenty years and have four great kids. I am definitely a fitness enthusiast, am passionate about all kinds of music, have written some of my own songs and occasionally perform as part of a band or as a solo act. I’ve been playing more golf over the last year or so and I’m working to drive my index down closer to 10. It’s getting there!

As a CPA working in public accounting for 10 years before coming to PMG, I worked in individual, corporate and partnership taxation as well as auditing, financial, A/R and billing evaluations. Because of my varied experiences, I have a full understanding of the revenue cycle and offer my clients a high degree of expertise and experience. I work best as part of a team and I think that great partnerships are the key to true success.
I feel blessed to work with so many talented team players at PMG, but when I’m not at work participating on that team, I’m at home coaching my son’s youth sports teams. Whether at PMG or on the sports fields, I get great satisfaction out of identifying an individual’s innate talents and setting them up to “hit it out of the park,” so to speak. In addition to coaching youth sports, I am also a huge local sports fan. Providence College basketball is my primary interest but I also closely follow the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and the Celtics.

Starting my career in a big corporation fostered a sense of commitment to my clients and gave me a clear picture of what good customer service looks like. Moving on to a smaller company, I quickly learned the importance of good teamwork, honesty and having trust in the people you work with. Combine these things together, and I feel like anything is possible. That’s why I love working with the staff and clients at PMG. We have those tools in place and we can make a huge difference for people.
I have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, but I know when to shut up and listen too. I think my wife Lesley, whom I’ve been married to for almost 20 years, would agree with that. We have two daughters and are a very tight family. I find stress relief in cooking for them, and I enjoy being around friends who help me stay grounded. I’m also a big believer in giving back to the community and volunteering.
