Ray oversees C-level relations with billing clients and assists with consulting operations as well as coding-, reimbursement- and payer-related issues for PMG's billing (revenue cycle management) services. He also oversees publications and Web-based product development, and acts as a coding liaison to state, regional and national organizations. In addition, he has trained thousands of clinical, management and billing staff from over 45 states on billing, coding and reimbursement.

Ray's health care experience and education are unique in that he was schooled by the payers. Having worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield as well as United HealthCare Corporation, he understands the payer's objectives and process much better than medical business consultants groomed from the provider side.

Besides handling management responsibilities, Ray provides consultative services and seminars on health care topics including coding, encounter and exam form development, fee schedule evaluation/setting, KPI, compliance program development and general reimbursement management. He continues to develop regional and national affiliations and contacts to keep PMG's client base well informed of new regulations and guidelines.

Ray received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross and his master's in management from Northeastern University. He is also a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the American Academy of Professional Coders and a Certified Healthcare Billing Management Executive through the Healthcare Billing and Management Association.
